Kuwait cracks down on residency violations in Ahmadi Governorate sweep

The Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate recently conducted a wide-ranging security campaign, leading to multiple arrests and enforcement actions. The Ministry of Interior has reiterated its commitment to maintaining public security through such operations.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of several individuals for various offenses. Eight people were taken into custody for violating labor and residency laws. Additionally, three individuals were apprehended for attempting illegal entry, with one more arrested for not having identification documents. A beggar was also among those arrested, along with two people whose social security permits had expired.

In a separate incident, a person was arrested while in an unusual state and suspected of possessing drugs. The identity of this individual has not been publicly disclosed. Furthermore, eight people were reported as absconding by their sponsors.

The campaign also targeted traffic violations, with a total of 97 offenses issued. Moreover, three illegal and unlicensed sites were shut down in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality. Several street vendors and undocumented workers were also arrested during the operation.

The security campaign in Ahmadi Governorate has led to a significant number of arrests and enforcement actions, demonstrating the authorities' commitment to maintaining public security and addressing various violations. The Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed that such operations will continue to strengthen public safety in Kuwait.
