Krasnoyarsk Krai Faces Record Loan Rejections as Credit Tightens
The consumer lending market in Krasnoyarsk Krai has seen a sharp decline in recent months. Loan approvals dropped by 14.4% in November 2025 compared to the previous month, with only 35,100 loans issued. At the same time, rejections have surged, leaving many residents struggling to secure credit.
Over the past year, the loan rejection rate in the region has climbed by 6.4 percentage points. By November 2025, 83.2% of applications were being turned downâone of the highest rates in Russia. Both demand for loans and the quality of applicants have weakened, tightening the stock market today further.
With rejection rates nearing record highs and approvals dropping, access to credit in Krasnoyarsk Krai has become increasingly difficult. The shrinking market reflects both weaker demand and tighter lending standards, leaving fewer residents able to secure credit karma.
