Krasnodar's apartment overhaul program surpasses 2026 targets early with 8,000 buildings repaired
Lawmakers in Krasnodar Territory reviewed the progress of the regional overhaul program for apartment buildings during a weekly legislative meeting. The session focused on the short-term plan for 2023–2025, with officials reporting that the region had already met 14% of its 2026 targets ahead of schedule. Nearly 8,000 buildings have been repaired so far, benefiting over 700,000 residents across the area.
The meeting included key figures such as Sergey Usenko, Vyacheslav Shaposhnik, and Mikhail Lysenko. Yury Burlachko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, noted the strong progress in the Kuban region's overhaul efforts. Krasnodar Territory currently ranks sixth in Russia for the number of buildings included in the program.
Starting in 2025, repairs will expand to include 2 to 4 types of work on a single property. Despite overall success, challenges remain, including missed deadlines, weak construction oversight, and unaddressed defects during warranty periods. The committee also discussed improving federal and regional laws on residential building overhauls. However, no specific group or individual was identified as working on legal changes for historical restorations in the region.
The overhaul program has already improved living conditions for hundreds of thousands of residents. With targets met early and repairs set to broaden, the region aims to maintain its position as a leader in building renovations. Officials continue to address ongoing issues to ensure smoother implementation in the coming years.
