Krasnodar Region Sees 10.8% Drop in Cash Circulation Amid Shifting Financial Trends
Cash circulation in Krasnodar Region has dropped significantly in 2025. Between January and September, the total turnover fell by 10.8% compared to the same period last year. This decline reflects broader trends in Russia’s financial activity, with major regions seeing shifts in how money moves through the economy.
Over the first nine months of 2025, cash turnover in Krasnodar Krai reached 4.1 trillion rubles. This figure is 500 billion rubles lower than the total recorded in 2024. The decline suggests a reduction in physical currency transactions across the region.
The decline in cash circulation and bank transactions points to changing financial habits in Krasnodar Region. With 4.1 trillion rubles in turnover and 2 trillion rubles in bank activity, the figures still highlight its economic importance.
