Consumer prices in Russia's Krasnodar Region climbed by 0.7% in February 2026 compared to January. The increase came as food and services grew more expensive, though some goods saw price cuts. Annual inflation in the region also eased to 5.8%, slightly below the national rate of 5.91%. Food and services led the rise, with prices jumping by around 1.1% in February. Eggs and greenhouse-grown vegetables experienced the sharpest hikes, driven by higher production costs. Energy, logistics, and greenhouse maintenance expenses all added pressure on food prices.

In contrast, non-food goods became slightly cheaper, dropping by 0.1%. Electronics and appliances saw the biggest discounts, falling by 9–14%. Weaker consumer demand and a stronger ruble helped push these prices down. Coffee also became more affordable, as expectations of a strong global harvest lowered costs. The Bank of Russia predicts inflation will continue to slow, reaching 4.5–5.5% by the end of 2026. Officials aim to bring it closer to the 4% target in the coming years.

The February figures show mixed trends across different sectors. While food and services grew costlier, electronics and some other goods became more affordable. The central bank's forecast suggests inflation may keep easing throughout the year.
