Komi’s 2025 summer camps see record child participation and new family support

The Republic of Komi's summer health and recreation campaign for 2025 has concluded, with a significant increase in participation and new initiatives. A total of 34,534 children took part, with 6,363 attending residential camps, a 10% rise from the previous year. The campaign saw the first-time subsidization of camp vouchers for children from large families, with the republican budget supporting this measure.

Deputy Chair of the Komi government, Natalya Yakimova, oversaw the organization of the campaign. She reported that popular summer camps like Grenada, Mechta, and Chayka welcomed children. Notably, the resort city of Anapa and the Chernomorskaya Zoryushka camp also hosted children from Komi.

The State Council reviewed the state program's preliminary results, with 6,380 children in difficult circumstances and 2,807 from low-income families among the attendees. The Chernomorskaya Zoryushka camp underwent modernization and repairs, with a development strategy in progress.

The campaign received substantial funding, with 456.3 billion rubles allocated from federal, Komi government, and municipal sources.

The 2025 summer health and recreation campaign in the Republic of Komi demonstrated increased participation and improved access for children from large families. The successful implementation of the program highlights the government's commitment to supporting children's health and well-being.
