Komi Supreme Court weighs energy supplier’s lawsuit over unpaid electricity bills

A commercial dispute has reached the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic after Komi Energy Sales Company filed a lawsuit against Prigorodny LLC. The energy supplier is demanding payment for unpaid electricity bills and additional penalties. Details about the companies involved remain limited in public records.

The case began when Komi Energy Sales Company took legal action to recover 4,668,808 rubles in outstanding electricity charges from April 2025. Initially, the supplier also sought 165,203 rubles in late payment penalties for delays between May 20 and June 11 of the same year.

The lawsuit centres on unpaid electricity bills and revised penalty demands. If unresolved, the court will determine whether Prigorodny LLC must pay the claimed amounts. Both parties retain the option to settle before a final ruling is issued.
