Komi Republic Sees Sharp Drop in Credit Card Issuance for October

Banks in the Republic of Komi issued fewer credit cards in October than the same month last year. The number dropped from 9,808 to 8,283, marking a noticeable decline. Alongside this, the total credit value and average limits also fell sharply.

In October, residents of the Komi Republic discovered 8,283 new credit cards. This figure is significantly lower than the 9,808 cards issued in October 2024. Sberbank led the market by distributing the highest number of cards during the month.

The latest figures show a clear reduction in both credit card issuance and borrowing capacity. With fewer cards issued and lower limits, residents now have access to less credit overall. The total value of approved loans has also decreased by nearly 400 million rubles compared to the previous year.
