Komi Republic households grapple with soaring utility bills in 2025

Households in the Komi Republic faced higher utility costs in the first nine months of 2025. Bills for housing and services reached 21.9 billion rubles, up 6% from the previous year. Despite financial support, many families struggled to cover the rising expenses.

Between January and September, residents paid 93% of their invoiced amount. This left a remaining debt of 14.1 billion rubles by late September. The shortfall highlighted ongoing challenges in meeting utility payments.

The data reveals a mixed picture of rising costs and targeted aid. While subsidies eased some burdens, many families still faced unpaid bills and financial hardship. The gap between expenses and income remains a key concern for the region.
