A 21-year-old suspect is in custody following a series of armed thefts and threats in Lampertheim. The incident began when the suspect stole tools from an unlocked car and escalated to a knife-point carjacking. Meanwhile, a 43-year-old man from Baden-Württemberg is being investigated for armed theft, coercion, and threats in connection with a recent murder case.

The suspect's criminal spree started on Thursday evening around 10:30 p.m. when he stole tools from an unlocked car. Just hours later, he flagged down a 34-year-old driver and threatened him with a knife, forcing the driver to continue operating the vehicle. The driver managed to alert authorities, and backup arrived to apprehend the suspect. However, the suspect fled the scene before being apprehended by a police trainee who noticed the situation and managed to overpower and restrain him.

The 21-year-old suspect sustained minor injuries during the incident and was subsequently taken into custody. In a separate investigation, a 43-year-old man from Baden-Württemberg is currently being held in custody in connection with a recent murder case. The suspect is believed to have been involved in armed theft, coercion, and threats, and is known to the victim, a 36-year-old man, for many years.
