Knife threats, thefts, and vandalism shock Fulda and Neuhof in one week

A series of crimes unfolded across Fulda and Neuhof last week. Incidents included a knife threat, a break-in, and property damage. Police responded swiftly in several cases, leading to arrests and ongoing investigations.

The first incident occurred on Friday, February 20, at around 8:40 AM. An unknown man threw a rock at a parked Ford Puma on Am Kreuzberg street in Neuhof. The attack caused roughly €500 in damage to the vehicle.

Between Friday evening and Monday morning, a white Peugeot scooter went missing from Mehlerstraße in Fulda. The stolen scooter bore the insurance plate '697CJS'. Authorities are still searching for those responsible.

On Monday, February 23, at approximately 1:10 PM, a man entered the Fulda District Licensing Authority on Kreuzbergstraße. He threatened two employees with a knife before leaving the scene. No injuries were reported, but the suspect remains at large.

The following night, just after midnight on Tuesday, February 24, a 53-year-old man broke into a commercial building on Hattenhofer Straße in Neuhof. An employee spotted the intruder and alerted police. Officers located the suspect inside and arrested him after he attempted to flee. He was later released but now faces charges for property damage and aggravated theft.

Police have linked no similar incidents to nearby areas like Kassel, Bad Hersfeld, or HĂźnfeld in recent months. The most recent comparable cases in Fulda involved violence against hospital staff in April 2025 and a rise in juvenile crime discussed earlier that month. Investigations into last week's events remain active.
