Kirchheim interchange crackdown nets arrests in five-hour police operation

Police conducted extensive vehicle checks at the Kirchheim interchange on Monday evening. The operation ran from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM on December 8, targeting the A5, A7, and A4 highways. Officers inspected 66 vehicles and 84 individuals during the dragnet-style controls.

The checks focused on cross-border crime, road safety, and immigration compliance. One person was arrested for violating residency laws. Another driver was stopped for alcohol impairment, leading to a mandatory blood test.
