KGB Audit Finds Gomel Region's Outdoor Ads Management Rife With Irregularities

An audit by the KGB has uncovered serious violations in the Gomel region's outdoor advertising management. The regional administration, responsible for external representations, is under investigation for improper practices that led to significant financial losses.

The audit revealed several irregularities. Firstly, the organization charged lower rates for billboards displaying second-hand clothes, car dealerships, and similar, resulting in a loss of over Br150,000. Secondly, the organization inflated prices for administrative services by double-counting labor costs, earning an extra Br110,000. Additionally, the organization charged for inspections without providing the service, netting an extra Br11,000. These violations led to a total of Br265,000 being paid into the budget improperly.

Following the audit, officials in the Gomel region have sent the case to legal authorities for evaluation. Those responsible for the violations have been disciplined.
