Kazakhstan's Land Outreach Campaign Returns Over 70,000 Hectares to Use

An outreach campaign in Kazakhstan has successfully returned a significant portion of improperly used lands to their intended purpose. Over 70,000 hectares of land plots, previously allocated illegally or left unused, have been addressed.

The campaign revealed that one LLP had left a substantial 11,500 hectares of pastureland unused for four years. Additionally, more than 3,000 hectares of settlement lands, valued at an estimated 2.7 billion tenge, were returned to state ownership after being improperly allocated.

The outreach campaign resulted in a third of the improperly used lands being put to their intended use. This marks a significant step towards rectifying past land management issues and ensuring that resources are utilised effectively.
