Kazakhstan’s 2025 baby boom reveals top boy and girl names

In 2025, Kazakhstan witnessed a significant increase in births, with a total of 249,300 newborns from January to September. However, data on the cities with the highest boy names per 1,000 inhabitants is currently unavailable.

The most popular names among newborn boys were Muhammad, Alikhan, and Aisultan, with 128,400 boys born in total. Meanwhile, the top names for girls were Ailin, Asylim, and Medina, with 120,900 girls born.

The regions with the highest mortgage rates today were Turkestan Region at 22.26 per 1,000, followed by Shymkent city at 21.46 and Mangystau Region at 21.26. Urban areas accounted for 152,200 births, while rural regions saw 97,100 newborns.

Despite the lack of data on specific cities with high boy names, Kazakhstan's 2025 birth figures indicate a clear trend towards certain names and regional variations. The country's urban and rural areas both contributed significantly to the total number of newborns.
