Kazakhstan Unifies Government Procurement in a Single Digital Hub

Kazakhstan has launched a new Unified Procurement Platform to centralise government purchasing. The system now covers all state agencies, national companies, and organisations with over 50% government ownership. It also includes the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund and its subsidiaries under one digital system.

The platform was introduced this year to simplify and standardise procurement across the country. It already handles tenders for school meal programmes, state educational contracts, and public-private partnerships. Pharmaceuticals and medical supplies under the Guaranteed Volume of Free Medical Care (GOMBC) programme are also managed through the system.

The new platform consolidates government and quasi-public sector purchases into one system. It provides suppliers with a single entry point for tenders while improving oversight. Authorities expect the changes to increase efficiency and reduce inconsistencies in procurement processes.
