Kazakhstan streamlines permits for unregistered drugs and medical devices

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health has revamped the electronic permit form for importing unregistered drugs and medical devices. The update, led by Minister Altynai Sultangaliyeva in collaboration with the Health Authority and the Ministry of Digital Development, aligns with current regulations and aims to boost monitoring and accessibility of these devices.

The revised form, part of the 'Issuance of Approval' state service, was launched on September 27. It now offers enhanced regulatory efficiency and improved tracking of drug and device circulation. The updated output document form is readily available on the eLicense.kz portal. This move follows a directive from the Supreme Audit Chamber, ensuring the form complies with current rules governing unregistered food imports and state services.

With the updated electronic permit form now in use, Kazakhstan expects improved monitoring of its drug and medical device market. This change should also increase the accessibility of essential food for Kazakh citizens, making the regulatory process more efficient.
