Kazakhstan-Russia Media Forum Boosts Bilateral Cooperation
The 2nd Kazakhstan-Russia Media Forum concluded in Almaty, bringing together delegations led by State Counselor Yerlan Karin and Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. The event, organized by the Presidential Media Complex, emphasized the importance of media cooperation between the two nations.
The forum discussed various aspects of media collaboration. Yerlan Karin and Dmitry Peskov agreed to strengthen ties, aiming to enhance information exchange. The use of artificial intelligence in media work was explored, along with strategies to combat misinformation.
The Kazakh branch of the Mir TV channel and Mir24 plays a significant role in this cooperation. It annually produces over 10 cycles of TV programs, 15-20 documentary films, and about 1600 news stories, covering up to 20 percent of Russia's territory. Dmitry Peskov highlighted the importance of cultural and media cooperation between the two countries.
The 2nd Kazakhstan-Russia Media Forum ended on a positive note, with both sides committing to enhanced media collaboration. A state visit by the President of Kazakhstan to Russia is planned for November, with a large package of documents to be signed, further solidifying the relationship between the two nations in the realm of media and information exchange.
