Kazakhstan proposes stricter rules for technical training centres
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Trade and Integration has released a draft order to update standards for training centres in technical regulation. The proposal aims to refine requirements for these institutions and improve the quality of specialist training across the country. The draft order revises the existing rules set by Order No. 377-NQ, dated May 31, 2021. Key changes include stricter criteria for teaching staff, with a focus on expert auditors who must now meet specific experience requirements. The proposal also introduces clearer deadlines for reviewing applications, ensuring faster processing by the authorised body.
Transparency in the registration process will increase under the new rules. The draft establishes formal procedures for the public defence of curriculum plans and sets defined grounds for rejecting incomplete or non-compliant applications. Additionally, the assessment of professional and methodological competencies will now follow a structured framework. The ministry has opened a public consultation on the draft, which will run until April 2, 2026. Feedback can be submitted through the Open Regulatory Acts portal.
If approved, the updated order will bring tighter oversight to training centres in Kazakhstan. The changes seek to streamline application reviews, enhance staff qualifications, and ensure greater accountability in technical education. The final version of the order will reflect input gathered during the consultation period.
