Kazakh Delegation Courts German Investment in Sustainable Tech and Mining

A Kazakh delegation, led by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, recently visited Germany to engage with prominent companies in Saarland. The visit aimed to explore potential investment projects and foster cooperation in sustainable development sectors.

The Kazakh side presented various investment projects and expressed keen interest in 'green' solutions and advanced technologies. The delegation met with the Kazakh Consul-General in Frankfurt, Taubaldy Umetbajew, to discuss cooperation in metallurgy, machinery, and sustainable technologies.

One notable meeting was with Becker Mining Systems AG, a leading global company in energy, automation, communication, transport, and infrastructure for mining. CEO Wolfgang Wegener showed interest in localizing production and assembly of mining equipment in Kazakhstan. Talks centered around joint investment projects in the mining sector.

The Kazakh delegation's visit to Germany has opened avenues for cooperation in sustainable technologies and high-tech sectors. With Becker Mining Systems AG expressing interest in localizing production in Kazakhstan, the stage is set for potential joint investment projects in the mining sector.
