Kamchatka’s entrepreneurs explore new financial tools to boost small businesses

A recent meeting at Kamchatka’s My Business Center brought together local entrepreneurs, regional officials, and Alexander Isayev, CEO of SME Corporation (JSC). The session focused on financial support tools and business development programmes available to small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.

During the event, Isayev detailed several support measures for small businesses. These included the 'umbrella' guarantee system, preferential loans from SME Bank, and a leasing programme. He noted that the leasing option remained underused by regional businesses despite its potential benefits.

The discussions also covered business support measures, production cooperation and sales platforms, and the guarantee mechanism. Entrepreneurs raised questions about assistance for businesses linked to participants in the special military operation and their families. Isayev confirmed that individual support would be available for such cases. Yulia Bogayevskaya, director of the Kamchatka Entrepreneurship Support Center, observed strong attendance and keen interest from local business owners. Many sought clarity on how to access SME Corporation’s resources and funding opportunities.

The meeting highlighted ongoing efforts to boost small business growth in Kamchatka. Local entrepreneurs now have clearer guidance on available financial tools and support systems. Officials encouraged businesses to explore the leasing programme and other underutilised initiatives.
