Kamchatka to Build Year-Round Children's Health Camp After SPIEF Deal

A new children's health camp will soon be built on Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. The project gained financial backing after a deal was struck with one of the country's largest banks at this year's St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Plans for the camp moved forward after the Kamchatka Krai government secured funding during SPIEF 2024. VTB, a major Russian bank, agreed to invest in the development. Officials have already pinpointed suitable locations for the site.

The facility will operate year-round, catering to young visitors. While exact numbers of children attending annually remain unclear, the project marks a significant step in expanding recreational infrastructure in the region.

With funding now in place, construction of the camp is expected to proceed. The partnership with VTB ensures financial support for the long-term operation of the facility. Once completed, the camp will provide children with a dedicated space for health and outdoor activities in Kamchatka.
