Invesco Names New DACH Distribution Chief to Drive ETF Growth
Invesco has appointed Hermann Pfeifer as its new head of distribution for the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The move comes as the firm strengthens its presence in the area, where its ETF platform has seen significant growth in recent years. Pfeifer will take up the role from 11 November, bringing over two decades of industry experience.
Pfeifer joins Invesco from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he most recently served as country head for Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, and Greece. His career spans more than 20 years in institutional and wholesale distribution, with a strong background in ETFs and index investments.
He will be based in Frankfurt and report directly to Oliver Bilal, head of EMEA Distribution at Invesco. Bilal highlighted Pfeifer's expertise as key to the firm's strategic plans in the DACH region, particularly in expanding its ETF and private markets offerings.
Invesco's ETF platform in the region has grown rapidly, with assets under management rising from around €15 billion in early 2023 to over €25 billion by the end of 2025. The number of available ETFs also increased from roughly 120 in 2023 to more than 150 by 2025, including new sustainable and thematic products. Pfeifer's role will focus on driving further growth in these areas while positioning Invesco as a leading partner for alternative and private market investments.
The appointment reinforces Invesco's commitment to expanding its DACH operations. Pfeifer's leadership is expected to accelerate the firm's distribution strategy, particularly in ETFs and private markets. His experience aligns with Invesco's goal of strengthening its position as a key investment partner in the region.
