Ingelheim Opens Public Review for Its Ambitious Heat Transition Plan

Ingelheim has released a draft plan for its municipal heat transition. The proposal aims to create a climate-friendly and dependable heat supply for the city. Residents are now invited to review the document and share their thoughts.

The draft heat transition plan will be open for public feedback from January 19 to February 19, 2026. During this period, comments can be submitted online via the project website at waermeplaene.de/ingelheimamrhein or in writing to the municipal administration.

A public information session is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The event will take place at the Ingelheim Adult Education Center, where officials will present the plan and encourage discussion. No details have been released about the specific initiatives or participants involved in the session. Those who prefer to view the draft in person can visit the KlimaWerkstatt Ingelheim during its regular opening hours. However, the office will remain closed on Rose Monday, February 16, 2026. Only submissions received by the February 19 deadline will be included in the next stages of the process.

The city will collect all feedback before moving forward with the heat transition plan. Residents have until February 19, 2026, to contribute their views. The final version of the plan will reflect the input gathered during this period.
