India has marked its largest-ever presence at Heimtextil 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for home textiles. The country inaugurated its expansive India Pavilion in Frankfurt, showcasing innovations from top exporters. Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh led the delegation, engaging with global stakeholders to strengthen international partnerships.

During the event, Singh toured exhibition stalls and spoke with exhibitors about their latest products. He stressed India’s growing competitiveness in the textile sector and called for deeper international collaboration. The minister also highlighted the country’s strong growth and rising foreign direct investment (FDI) in textiles at an Investors’ Meet.

Representatives from the US, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore attended the meeting. Many expressed interest in investing in India’s textile industry. Singh urged machinery manufacturers to set up production in India, citing the success of a German sewing thread company already operating there.

He also invited global investors to Bharat Tex 2025, India’s upcoming textile exhibition, warning that missing out on the Indian market could mean losing significant opportunities. The minister encouraged stronger ties between India and German textile associations like IVGT and the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association.

The event saw strong participation from industry leaders, reinforcing India’s role as a major player in the global textile market. The government’s support for exporters, including facilitating their presence at global fairs like Heimtextil, aims to boost their international visibility and competitiveness.

India’s record participation at Heimtextil 2025 highlights its ambition to expand in the global textile trade. The minister’s meetings with international investors and industry bodies signal potential growth in global partnerships. The government’s push for increased FDI and stronger export networks is expected to shape the sector’s future.
