In 2026, discounted rates for cold water supply will continue to be applied to the population of Komi
Residents of the Republic of Komi will keep their discounted water rates for another two years. The regional government has extended the preferential tariffs for drinking water and wastewater services until 2026. This decision aims to ease costs for households amid rising living expenses.
The Komi Republicâs executive authority confirmed the extension of the current subsidised rates. These lower tariffs will now remain in place until the end of 2025, ensuring continued relief for local residents.
From January 1, 2026, any adjustments to the concessional rates will be capped. The increase will not exceed the inflation index for utility payments, as set by the Russian government. This measure prevents sharp price hikes while accounting for economic changes.
The move guarantees stable water costs for Komi households through 2025. After that, rate changes will align with national inflation limits. The policy ensures affordability while maintaining financial sustainability for the region.
