Illegal food plant shut down after operating without a licence

A food production plant was shut down after authorities discovered it had resumed operations without a valid licence. The facility had been officially sealed by the public food and nutrition authority on 11 December 2025, but operators broke the seals and continued running the plant illegally. The operators admitted to tampering with the official seals and running the plant at night to avoid detection. When inspectors uncovered the violations, they immediately closed the facility. The company’s licence had already expired, making the production illegal. All employees registered with the company have been apprehended. Those involved in the operation have now been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action. The plant’s ownership has also been revoked as part of the enforcement measures. The Criminal Security Sector has stated it will continue to monitor and control such violations rigorously to prevent further breaches. The plant remains closed while legal proceedings against the employees and operators move forward. Authorities have not yet named any specific individuals or companies responsible for the violations. The case will now proceed through the Public Prosecution for further action.
