Vandals have caused significant damage to an ice cream vending machine in the Somborn district of Freigericht. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, with the machine's front panel shattered and free ice cream spoons scattered on the ground. Police believe the glass was smashed with a nearby trash can and have not ruled out theft as a motive. The ice cream vending machine, located on Hauptstraße in Somborn, was targeted by unknown individuals shortly after 1 a.m. on a Thursday. The damage amounts to at least €1,000, although it remains unclear if any ice cream was stolen.
