HĂźnfeld Museum Celebrates 25 Years by Planting a Forest for Visitors
The Konrad Zuse Museum of Local and Regional History in HĂźnfeld is marking its 25th anniversary since reopening in 2000. To celebrate, the museum has launched the 'Culture for Nature' initiative, encouraging visitors to help plant a new forest in the area. The project has already gained strong support from the local community.
The museum aims to attract 3,000 visitors by the end of 2025. For every 25th guest, a tree will be planted in HĂźnfeldâs municipal forest in 2026. So far, 112 saplings have been secured, thanks to contributions from 2,800 participants in the initiative.
The initiative has already secured 112 saplings for the new forest, with 2,800 visitors backing the project. If the museum meets its 3,000-visitor target, further trees will be planted in 2026. The scheme reflects the institutionâs ongoing commitment to blending cultural heritage with environmental action.
