Howden targets Japanese-led infrastructure projects with new global initiative

Howden has launched a new initiative to support Japanese-led construction and infrastructure projects around the globe. The move comes as Japanese investment in global infrastructure continues to grow. Two senior hires in London will lead the effort.

The company has appointed Nobuyuki Akahane as Head of Japanese Construction. He joins from Price Forbes, where he previously served as Japan CEO. Masami Ono has also taken up a senior role within the division.

Both will be based in London and focus on expanding Howden's services in power, energy, and civil engineering. Their appointments aim to strengthen the firm's ability to deliver specialist solutions for Japanese clients across different regions.

Naresh Dade, Managing Director and Global Practice Leader at Howden, described the launch as a key step in the company's international growth. The initiative builds on Howden's existing capabilities within its Construction & Infrastructure Assets Division.

The new initiative will help Howden better serve Japanese firms involved in major projects worldwide. With Akahane and Ono in place, the company expects to enhance its support for clients in critical sectors. The expansion reflects the growing role of Japanese investment in global infrastructure development.
