Homeless man arrested after phone snatch and threats in Frankfurt

A 44-year-old homeless man was arrested in Frankfurt’s Bornheim district on Monday morning. Police accuse him of snatching a phone and threatening two people during the incident. The confrontation took place just after 10:20 a.m. on Sieringstraße.

The suspect allegedly attempted to grab a 63-year-old man’s phone but initially failed. He then turned aggressive, threatening both the victim and a passerby who intervened. After the confrontation, the man fled toward Berger Straße.

The arrested man remains in custody pending further legal proceedings. His alleged actions—threats and attempted theft—will be reviewed by the court. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
