The image shows a dirt road with a lot of pipes on the side of it, surrounded by grass, plants, trees, and other objects. In the background, there is a shed and sand, and the sky is visible at the top of the image. The pipes appear to be part of a construction site, likely for a water treatment plant.

Hohlstraße to close for a month as water pipeline upgrade begins

A major road closure is set to disrupt traffic in the area from mid-March. Hohlstraße will shut completely at its junction with Schlehdornstraße for around a month. The work is part of an essential upgrade to the local water supply network.

The closure begins on Monday, March 16, and is expected to last until Friday, April 17. ESWE Versorgungs AG will use this time to replace the ageing water pipeline beneath the road. Despite the full closure at Schlehdornstraße, residents will still be able to reach their homes via Wiesbadener Straße.

To ease congestion, the usual one-way restriction on Hohlstraße will be temporarily lifted. This change will allow local drivers to exit the area more easily during the works. No official detours have been announced for through traffic.

The project aims to modernise the water infrastructure along Hohlstraße. Residents should plan for delays and use Wiesbadener Straße for access. The temporary suspension of the one-way system will remain in place until the work is finished.
