Hit-and-Run Truck Spree in Großaltenstädten: €10k Damage, Injuries, Police Seek Witnesses

Early Wednesday morning, two individuals, Jana and Mark, witnessed a peculiar incident in Großaltenstädten. Meanwhile, a series of hit-and-run incidents involving trucks have occurred in the region, causing significant damage and injuries. Authorities are seeking witnesses to help identify the culprits.

On Bornweg in Großaltenstädten, Jana and Mark observed two articulated lorries struggling to turn around between 04:15 and 04:45 AM on Wednesday. The manoeuvre resulted in around €10,000 worth of damage, and the drivers fled the scene.

Earlier that day, between 10:00 and 10:30 AM, a large white truck hit a wall in Allendorf's Ulmer Straße and sped off. In a separate incident, a blue truck from Märkischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia (MK) was involved in a hit-and-run, leaving a damaged wall behind.

On Friday evening, a 63-year-old man suffered severe injuries after falling from his e-scooter in Wetzlar-Steindorf. Authorities have not linked this incident to the truck-related cases.

Police are appealing for witnesses. They ask anyone who may have seen the two lorries on Bornweg during the early hours of Wednesday, or has information about the drivers involved in the hit-and-run incidents, to contact the relevant police stations.

The recent incidents have caused significant damage and injuries. Authorities are determined to find those responsible. Witnesses with information are urged to come forward to help bring the culprits to justice.
