Hit-and-run leaves delivery van damaged in Schenklengsfeld
A delivery van was damaged in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday morning in Schenklengsfeld. Police are now searching for the driver of a black Peugeot who fled the scene without stopping. The collision caused around €250 worth of damage to the parked vehicle.
The incident took place at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Landecker Straße. A delivery vehicle from Bad Hersfeld was parked legally on the sidewalk when an unknown motorist in a black Peugeot sideswiped its left exterior mirror. Instead of stopping, the driver left the area without reporting the accident.
Police in Hesse have launched an investigation to identify the responsible driver. Officers are gathering witness statements, reviewing surveillance footage, and examining evidence from the scene. A public appeal with photos of the suspect vehicle has also been issued to help locate the car and its owner.
