Hit-and-run in Wiesbaden leaves woman injured after driver flees scene

A 29-year-old woman was hit by a car in Wiesbaden on Thursday afternoon. The collision happened near the junction of Mainzer Straße and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. The driver fled the scene immediately afterwards.

The crash took place at around 5:30 p.m. A brown Volkswagen Golf, driven by a 48-year-old man from Friedberg, struck the woman’s feet while turning. Instead of stopping to help, the man drove away.

Police reports confirm the victim was left injured at the location. Authorities have identified the driver but are not releasing his name for legal reasons. The investigation into the hit-and-run remains ongoing.

The woman received medical attention after the incident. Police continue to search for the fleeing driver, who abandoned the scene without providing aid. Further details on his whereabouts or potential charges have yet to be announced.
