Hit-and-run driver flees after striking woman with stroller in Mühlheim
A hit-and-run incident occurred in Mühlheim am Main on Thursday evening. A woman pushing a stroller was struck by a car at the intersection of Bahnhofstraße and Schillerstraße. The driver fled the scene shortly after the collision.
The accident happened around 8:50 PM when a blue Volkswagen Golf, driven by a blonde woman aged roughly 30 to 40, turned from Bahnhofstraße into Schillerstraße. The car hit a pedestrian who was walking with a stroller. After a brief exchange with the victim, the driver left without providing any details.
The pedestrian and the baby in the stroller suffered minor injuries. The vehicle involved is registered in the Offenbach district. Authorities have confirmed that the traffic accident investigation unit of the Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters is now handling the case.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident or have information about the driver.
The investigation continues as officers work to identify the driver of the blue Golf. Anyone with details about the collision or the vehicle is urged to come forward. The pedestrian and child received treatment for their injuries following the incident.
