Hit-and-run driver flees after striking pedestrian in Hessisch Lichtenau

A 22-year-old man was struck by a car on Monday evening in Hessisch Lichtenau. The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. as he crossed the intersection of Leipziger Straße and 'Am Lohwasser'. The driver of the vehicle, presumably a dark SUV, fled the scene without stopping to assist. The pedestrian, from Helsa, was crossing with a green light when the collision happened. He sustained minor injuries to his left leg but did not require hospital treatment. Authorities are now searching for the suspect vehicle and its driver. Anyone with information about the dark SUV or the incident is urged to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing.
