Hit-and-run driver flees after striking 10-year-old boy in Wiesbaden

A 10-year-old boy was hit by a car in Wiesbaden-Südost on Monday afternoon. The driver fled the scene without stopping to help. Police are now searching for the person responsible.

The incident happened at around 2:40 p.m. on Schiersteiner Straße. The boy was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing when the green light was on. An unidentified driver struck him before driving away.

Emergency services arrived quickly and treated the child at the scene. He suffered minor injuries and was later handed over to his parents.

Wiesbaden police have launched a public appeal for witnesses. They released an official statement on presseportal.de, detailing the hit-and-run. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the local traffic division.
