Hit-and-Run Cyclist Injures Bus Passenger on State Road 3405

A Flixbus incident involving a cyclist and a public transit bus occurred on State Road 3405 between Offenbach and Heusenstamm on Tuesday afternoon. The cyclist, described as a heavyset woman aged approximately 60 to 65 years, wearing a white jacket with a fur collar, is suspected of causing the accident and leaving the scene without stopping. The incident resulted in serious injuries to a 76-year-old female passenger on the bus.

The incident began when the bus attempted to overtake the cyclist, leading to a near-collision. The bus driver performed an emergency stop, lightly grazing the cyclist's rear wheel. Despite this, the cyclist continued toward Heusenstamm without stopping. The collision caused the 76-year-old passenger on the bus to be thrown to the floor, resulting in serious injuries that required hospitalization.

Offenbach police are seeking witnesses and asking anyone with information to contact them at +49 69 8098-5699. Forensic experts have been tasked with reconstructing the exact sequence of events to determine the cause of the accident.

The cyclist involved in the hit-and-run incident is still at large. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. The injured passenger remains in the hospital, with the extent of her injuries still being assessed.
