Hit-and-run and crashes leave €22,000 in damage across Main-Kinzig-Kreis
A series of traffic incidents in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis region has left vehicles damaged, drivers injured, and police appealing for witnesses. Over the past week alone, three separate collisions—including a hit-and-run—have caused an estimated €22,000 in total damage. Authorities are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
On Federal Highway 43a near Hanau, a silver Seat suddenly swerved left without checking for oncoming traffic. The Adam was written off, while the total property damage from the crash reached around €13,000. Witnesses are asked to contact investigators at +49 69 8098-5699.
A separate hit-and-run in Hanau left a gray VW Caddy with roughly €1,000 in damage. The incident occurred between February 9 and February 11, with the responsible driver still unidentified. Police have requested that anyone with details call Hanau Police Station at +49 6181 100-123.
Meanwhile, a three-vehicle rear-end collision on Bad Sodener Straße in Bad Soden-Salmünster injured two people and caused about €8,000 in damage. Witnesses to this crash should contact Bad Orb Police Station at +49 6052 9148-0.
These incidents follow a pattern in the region. In the last year, at least four similar cases involving unknown drivers were reported in Main-Kinzig-Kreis. They include damage to a gray Mercedes in Gelnhausen, a red Renault Clio in Gelnhausen on February 10, a tractor in Flörsbachtal, and a black car pushed into another vehicle in Schlüchtern.
Police continue to investigate all three recent collisions, with appeals for witnesses remaining active. The combined financial impact of the crashes has exceeded €20,000, while two individuals required medical attention. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the provided police numbers immediately.
