High-speed chase in Wiesbaden after Audi flees police checkpoint at night
Police in Wiesbaden have launched criminal proceedings after a green Audi fled a checkpoint and raced through the city. The incident began late at night when the driver ignored orders to stop and sped away at high speed. Authorities are now searching for witnesses to help locate the person behind the wheel.
The trouble started on Biebricher Allee, where officers attempted to stop the Audi at a routine checkpoint. Instead of complying, the driver accelerated and weaved recklessly toward Biebrich. Moments later, the car ran a red light before disappearing from sight.
The abandoned Audi was later discovered in Mainzer Straße, but the driver had vanished. Investigators believe the same vehicle may have been involved in erratic driving the previous evening in Wiesbaden's city centre. Despite the recent incident, no other confirmed reports of suspicious behaviour linked to this car have been recorded since 2024.
