Heusenstamm's 'Future Station' Boosts Rail Travel With Modern Makeover

Heusenstamm's train station has been transformed into a 'Future Station', reflecting the city's local identity and aiming to boost rail travel. The modernization, part of Deutsche Bahn's 'Future Stations' program, is one of five such projects in Hesse, with many more planned.

The revamped Heusenstamm Station, now known as 'Future Station', showcases the city's unique character. The redesign is part of a larger effort to make the station more appealing and encourage more people to choose climate-friendly rail travel.

The modernization, costing around €300,000, includes new seating areas, digital departure displays for improved passenger information, and a tactile guidance system to assist visually impaired travelers. Heusenstamm Station is now one of five 'Future Stations' in Hesse, with over 20 more stations slated for modernization in the next two years.
