Hesse's Youth Collection Week empowers local groups with funding opportunities

Hesse is preparing for its annual Youth Collection Week to support local youth welfare projects. Running from March 14 to April 2, the main event invites registered youth groups to raise funds for their activities. Up to 70% of the money collected will go directly to participating organizations.

The 2024 initiative gives youth groups across the state a chance to secure funding for their work. To qualify, groups must have been active for at least six months. Those in Hünfeld can sign up through the city administration until March 4.

Full participation details, including registration steps and guidelines, are available on the official website at www.jugendsammelwoche-hessen.de. Organizers have not released figures on past participation rates or the largest donation sources.

The event aims to boost local youth initiatives by letting groups keep the majority of their collections. The remaining 30% will support broader regional youth welfare programs.

Youth groups in Hesse have until early March to register for the collection drive. Successful applicants will gather donations over three weeks, with most proceeds staying in their communities. The scheme provides a structured way for organizations to fund their ongoing activities.
