The Hessian tax administration, an early adopter of AI since 2019, has introduced its own chatbot, Maxi. This innovative tool is set to simplify and expedite tax case processing across the region.

Maxi, developed in-house, works with internal data on the Hessian tax cloud. It provides legally sound information and reduces the workload of employees by handling complex cases. The AI chatbot consolidates existing data and connects numerous sources, thereby minimising research work for staff.

Maxi's capabilities extend to incorporating administrative instructions, further streamlining the process. This advancement builds on Hesse's leading role in AI, demonstrating the region's commitment to technological innovation in tax administration.
