Unmanned signal box: Trains to Frankfurt partially cancelled - Hesse's HLB Cancels Evening Trains Due to Signal Operator Shortage

Hesse's State Railway (HLB) has announced partial cancellations of Regional trains RB37 and RB41 in the evenings until December 13. The cancellations are due to a sudden shortage of qualified signal operators in the Frankfurt signal box, operated by DB InfraGo.

The cancellations affect services between Frankfurt Central Station and Bad Vilbel, Friedberg. Passengers can check revised timetables on the websites of HLB, Deutsche Bahn, North Hesse Transport Association, and Rhine-Main Transport Association. In the meantime, alternative transportation is provided via S-Bahn line S6.

The personnel shortage is a result of DB InfraGo's inability to staff the Frankfurt signal box in the evenings. The signal operators play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of trains. Their absence has led to the temporary disruption of services.

Until December 13, passengers should expect partial cancellations of RB37 and RB41 in the evenings. They are advised to check the latest timetables and consider using alternative transportation via S-Bahn line S6. HLB and DB InfraGo are working to resolve the staffing issue as soon as possible.
