Hessen-wide Action Day against Theft in Retail - Hesse’s bold crackdown on shoplifting unites police and retailers today

Hesse is launching its first statewide campaign to tackle shoplifting, pickpocketing, and theft by deception. The initiative, organised by the Interior Ministry and the Hesse Retail Association, will see 116 stores and supermarkets take part in a special action day.

The campaign kicks off with an official visit by Interior Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) to a shopping centre in Fulda at 10:00 AM on today's date. Minister President Boris Rhein, as chairman of the Hessian state government, will also attend the event.

The action day brings together law enforcement and retailers in a joint effort to improve security. With 116 locations involved, the campaign aims to raise awareness and provide direct support to customers. The initiative reflects ongoing collaboration between the Interior Ministry and the Hesse Retail Association.
