Hessen's Police Boost Road Safety in Commercial Transport Action Week
Hessen's police forces recently completed a successful action week focused on enhancing safety in commercial passenger and goods transport. The campaign, which ran from October 6 to 12, 2025, targeted crucial aspects of road safety, including cargo securing, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to regulations.
The 'Safe Together on the Roads' program, launched by the Hessian police, combines education and enforcement to tackle various traffic issues. This action week, involving the Hessian Police, regional traffic services in Fulda and Vogelsberg, and the Police Presidium East Hesse, inspected 27 vehicles. Officers discovered violations in 15 of these vehicles and prohibited two drivers from continuing due to severe technical defects.
First Police Commissioner Alexandra Koch praised the action week, stressing the importance of adhering to regulations in commercial transport for road safety.
The successful action week has highlighted the commitment of Hessen's police forces to improving road safety. Through targeted enforcement and education, the 'Safe Together on the Roads' program aims to reduce accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
