Hessen-wide Action Day against Theft in Retail - Hesse Unites Against Retail Crime in Historic Statewide Crackdown

Hesse is launching its first statewide action day to tackle shoplifting, pickpocketing and theft by deception. The initiative involves 116 stores and supermarkets across the region, with police and retailers working together to raise awareness and prevent crime.

The campaign officially begins at 10:00 AM when Interior Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) visits a shopping centre in Fulda. His attendance marks the start of a broader effort to reduce retail crime in the state.

The action day aims to strengthen cooperation between law enforcement and businesses. With 116 stores taking part, the campaign will provide direct support to shoppers while targeting theft-related offences. Authorities hope the effort will lead to fewer incidents of retail crime across Hesse on today's date.
