Hesse Police's influencer officers reach 14 million in first year
Hesse Police's corporate influencer programme has marked its first year with strong results. Interior Minister Roman Poseck unveiled an early progress report at INNOVATION HUB 110, highlighting the initiative's impact on public engagement. The project aims to build trust through direct, digital communication with communities.
The programme launched with five officersâChris, Paula, Sarah, Selina, and Serhatâsharing daily policing work on Instagram. Their content has now reached around 14 million people, sparking over 1.4 million interactions. In just the last 90 days, posts and videos were viewed roughly 36 million times.
The initiative was designed to create open, real-time dialogue between police and the public. Officials stressed the importance of transparency, particularly as extremist groups seek to erode confidence in state institutions. By offering a behind-the-scenes look at modern policing, the influencers have opened a new channel for two-way communication.
Minister Poseck presented the findings at a recent event, noting how the approach has reshaped public perception. Unlike traditional media, this direct engagement allows officers to address concerns and share updates instantly. The success so far suggests a growing appetite for authentic, digital interaction with law enforcement.
The first-year figures demonstrate the programme's wide reach and active audience. With millions of views and interactions, Hesse Police has established a model for modern communication in the sector. The initiative continues as officers expand their digital presence and public engagement efforts.
