Heimtextil, one of the world’s largest textile trade fairs, will return to Frankfurt from January 13 to 16, 2026. The main event brings together over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 65 countries, attracting around 67,000 industry professionals. This year’s edition will focus on innovation, sustainability, and the evolving relationship between digital and physical craftsmanship in textile design.

The fair is a key working event for interior designers, architects, and specifiers. Unlike shows centred on finished interiors, Heimtextil concentrates on raw materials, production techniques, and contract applications. Exhibits range from woven and knitted upholstery to carpets, acoustic textiles, and sun protection systems.

Navigation is streamlined by organising products into themed halls. Woven fabrics sit alongside knitted materials, while carpets and rugs occupy adjacent spaces. This layout helps visitors efficiently explore the vast selection of fibres, yarns, and finished textiles. Sustainability remains a core theme, with the Econogy program highlighting products that meet strict environmental and social criteria. The 2026-2027 Trends program, titled 'Craft is a verb', will examine how digital tools are reshaping traditional production methods. Exhibitors from leading textile nations—including China, India, Turkey, Germany, and Italy—will showcase innovations in both technology and design. Attendees can expect a demanding but rewarding experience. The fair’s scale and depth of information require careful planning, but the opportunities for networking, trendspotting, and business development make it a vital event for industry professionals.

Heimtextil 2026 will gather thousands of exhibitors and buyers under one roof. The main event’s focus on sustainability, digital craftsmanship, and practical textile solutions ensures its relevance for designers and manufacturers. With a structured layout and a global lineup, the event aims to drive collaboration and innovation in the textile sector.
